How It All Started: The Airport Panic
It all started with an early morning drive to the airport. We were just two hours away from our flight when my wife suddenly panicked because she was convinced she'd left the hair straighteners on.
Turning back meant missing our flight, so we had to wake up a family member to rush over to our house and make sure it wasn't going to burn down.
That moment of anxiety sparked a realization. I needed a way to check and control my home from my phone, purely to give us peace of mind.
From One Plug to a Smart Ecosystem
What started as a simple smart plug for a hair straightener quickly evolved into a passion. I started expanding the system to give us total control over our environment.
Automatic blinds that sync with the sunrise, lights that intuitively switch on when I walk in the dark, and sensors that gently remind me if I've left a window open.
I realised how much friction this removed from our daily lives. SmartSpace Automations was born out of a desire to bring that exact same comfort, security, and peace of mind to others.
